Cartagena. Where colour begins.
A Performance of the Soul, photographed in the streets of Cartagena de Indias.

Sebastián Plah grew up between Barranquilla and Cartagena de Indias, surrounded by colour. He learned to combine it by watching his mother dress, and the city taught him how colour changes with the light.
A Performance of the Soul, the first PLAH collection, was born from that coast: from its dances, its music and its walls. It was photographed where it began, in the streets of the walled city.

I The colour
Cobalt, ochre, saffron, coral. In Cartagena every wall holds a colour, and every colour holds a temperature. The titanium answers them: each shade at PLAH carries the name of a place whose light it recalls.

II The dance
Cumbia moves through the city like a current. The swing of a skirt, a hand held and released, a body turning in the heat of noon. The jewels were made to move the same way: free, sensual, never still.

Where Caribbean sensuality meets European sophistication.
PLAH
III The jewel
Titanium, gold and diamonds laid out on wood and velvet in the Plaza de Santo Domingo, chosen piece by piece, worn on the skin, passed from hand to hand.

IV The ritual
Coconut water in the shade, a table under the umbrellas, a cathedral door worn by centuries of sea air. The slow rituals of the Caribbean, where beauty is part of everyday life.

Cartagena is not a reference. It is where colour begins.
